MITIGATE End-User Survey
We’re pleased to announce that today the MITIGATE End-User Survey was launched.
The aim of this survey is to assess how you, the community, might want to exploit MITIGATE’s innovative results. We kindly ask you to participate in the survey and support us in bringing the MITIGATE products to the European patient.

Minimally invastive treatment folder for patients
To highlight the treatment options on the horizon for GIST patients, MITIGATE published a small folder detailing the project’s developments in percutaneous ablation and selective internal radiation therapy. MITIGATE is developing several new treatment options for GIST, including minimally invasive surgery.

Annual Meeting of General Assembly
On September 25th, MITIGATE partners held their annual meeting of the General Assembly hosted by partner AAA in Marseille, FR. Participants presented achievements of the last months as well as an outlook on major tasks ahead.
Furthermore, the pivotal questions of the selection of tracers, in-human studies and plans for exploitation of results were discussed. We are pleased to announce that after the meeting the consortium has agreed on a promising work plan for the coming year and together will work towards innovation, clinical Implementation and exploitation of the project`s objectives.

MITIGATE at European Cancer Congress 2015
The MITIGATE project will be at the European Cancer Congress 2015 in Vienna, Austria, September 25-29, 2015.
Attendees can visit the MITIGATE/EIBIR booth (Stand U) in Hall B of the Messe congress centre in Vienna to learn more about the project’s latest achievements.

5th Annual Symposium of the Oncology Network of West Austria and South Tyrol
On May 27th, 2015, the 5th annual symposium of the Oncology Network of West Austria and South Tyrol was held at the Medical University of Innsbruck. Around 100 attendees from various medical fields were present to exchange information on imaging and diagnostics of oncological disorders. The meeting is focused on clinicians and introducing new development and therapies.
Prof. Stefan Schönberg, MITIGATE’s scientific coordinator, was pleased to represent the project and share MITIGATE’s latest advances and developments in tumour imaging and theranostics at this interdisciplinary meeting.

MITIGATE Session @ ECR 2015
Partners of the MITIGATE consortium presented their project findings on the occasion of the European Congress of Radiology 2015 in Vienna. The session “MITIGATE Consortium: State of the art imaging and therapy in GIST” attracted a significant number of attendees and invited talks led to a lively and fruitful disucssion. Speakers and moderators, Prof. Dr. Irene Virgolini and Prof. Dr. Stefan Schönberg, were pleased to see a high interest among radiologists in the presented topics.

1st MITIGATE Benchworker`s Meeting
On January 26th 2015 MITIGATE assembled its collaborators on the occasion of the 1st Benchworker`s Workshop in Mannheim. The objective of the workshop that targeted researchers on phD and post Doc level was to further improve collaborative knowledge exchange on the “operational level”. The workshop was a success and highly beneficial for the collaborative approach towards the next steps of the project. The consortium agreed to repeat it on an annual basis.
